DEFINITION: Creative art, especially visual art, whose products are to be appreciated primarily or solely for their imaginative, aesthetic, or intellectual content.
Most of my fine art process actually comes after the photo shoot in the editing process. One image can take me anywhere from 45 mins to 2 hours to complete. To achieve a cinematic and painterly look, I hand paint quite a bit in photoshop. This is why, even though we will take many photos at the shoot, only the top 5 or so are chosen for editing.
Please check out the before and after gallery to get a behind the scenes look at my image transformations!
I've always been drawn to unusual photos, whether that be surreal, dark, mysterious, or magical. I love a photo that can suck me in to a different world or time period.
It took me a while to find my calling; I started off going to school for fashion design, then I moved to Los Angeles to work in the movie and television industry for nearly a decade. What I didn't realize was that one day all of those things that I learned (and loved) would come together in the ultimate career. Creating worlds that don't exist using fashion, set design, camera tricks, and most importantly imagination. Nothing could be better!
